It easily connected to my Netgear 1750 R6700v3 – 5Ghz WiFi.
It is a great feeling not having to RENT a modem from Comcast anymore. Make sure you get an approved for Comcast modem.
The Motorola MB8600 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem, 6 Gbps Max Speed is approved for Comcast Xfinity Gigabit, Cox Gigablast, and more.
I couldn’t be happier how everything turned out and if was not very difficult once I figured out the hardware needed and the correct steps.
I did not lose Internet connection except for the time required to setup the new router/WiFi device.
Comcast will hardly let you cancel, Comcast personnel are trained not to let you cancel until they work ya over.
Be prepared for that.
I visited them in person instead at a hardware pickup / drop off site.
Hank in you r equipment and make sure they scan them into the system and get a receipt.

Don’t drop your Comcast internet service – cuz you still need it!
In my humble opinion, having Comcast as your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is still the best choice in Illinois.
Their speed and up-time is consistent and my service hardly ever goes down… your internet provider speeds may vary.
My next post will go into detail about how to finally cut the cord with Comcast cable and phone.
Then, how to configure and get everything up and running at top Gigabit speed.
